For those of you that are wondering why or how we named CHESTY’S BLUE COLLAR TAVERN, here is it! we named it in memory of one of the most dedicated war heroes in history, Lieutenant General Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller. He was an officer in the United States Marine Corps, the most decorated U.S. Marine in history, the only Marine to be awarded five Navy Crosses, and an enlisted man for 37 years. General Puller served at sea or overseas for all but ten of those years, including a hitch as commander of the "Horse Marines" in China. He won a total of 14 personal decorations in combat, plus a long list of campaign medals, unit citation ribbons, and other awards. In addition to his Navy Crosses, (the next-highest decoration to the Medal of Honor for Naval personnel) he holds its Army equivalent, the Distinguished Service Cross. We felt the history of Lt. General Puller should be remembered at “CHESTY‘S“ Blue Collar Tavern. He was also recognized for his dedication to his family.

chesty's BLUE COLLAR is to thank all the hard working, dedicated, self sacrificing men and women in every branch of service. such as peace officers, firemen, nurses, mill workers etc. When you come to "CHESTYS" you will see how important it is to us to remember the people that have made this country great. We have beautiful art work created by a well known artist Ray Simmon. our walls are horned with the memorabilia from friends, family, and customers that know how grateful we are to receive these items.
I’d also like to thank my husband and his brothers of Second Brigade MC. these men are sons, brothers, fathers or veterans themselves, that proudly give their support to the men and women that serve this country, in past and present. We thank you and hope that you will visit Chesty’s and enjoy the remembrances as much as we do.
